Shetland's MSP Tavish Scott has supported calls for better information about local health and social care services across Scotland.
Tavish met with staff with from Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (also known as ALLIANCE) before Parliament broke for its summer recess.
ALLIANCE are calling for the views of the two million people in Scotland living with a long term condition to be heard.
Commenting afterwards, Tavish Scott said:
“I’m pleased to support the goals of ALLIANCE as we start a new term in Parliament. People with long term conditions have varying needs so it’s important their health and social care arrangements are right for them.
“A local information system like ALLIANCE’s will particularly benefit small communities like Shetland. However if any constituents do have concerns about their care I would urge them to get in touch so I can take these up on their behalf.”
